Old and New!

Diana gave me these old side plates and a bowl. They came from the house that Arron was born in and this is whats left So beautiful and old. I really do love blue and white together and i also love to match old with new so i would love to get some of the Marimekko Siirtolapuutarha, In Good Company series below, actually, those four items would be perfect and then maybe some white dinner plates. Its good to dream sometimes!

We are back!

We are off...

...for another holiday. Tomorrow, me and Maja are flying to Byron Bay to visit my mother in law for a week. First time flying for Maja so I'm a little bit nervous but I'm sure it will go fine, so looking forward to seeing her and i also LOVE where they live.

4 years!

Today me and my amazing husband have been married for four years.

I have been trying to figure out how to get the pictures a bit bigger and now finally, thanks to Happysilly
I have got it working, thank you, I like it this size so much more.

Pram!

I love our pram. Its been really good and its fantastic to walk with but we have had a few problems with it, or maybe just two, and this is one. Yesterday morning i took this photo to send to the makers of the pram. What you are looking at is one of the wheels that have worn all the way into the 'fabric' part of the wheel. Not very happy about it since the pram is not very old and the two other wheels are fine. So i was gonna send the photos and try to get them to send me a new wheel.

The same day, in the afternoon, i was walking with a friend and all the sudden my wheel went flat! But the crazy thing is that at the same time that happened to my pram, on her pram, a wheel fell off! So there we were, both with very broken prams. It was not a very fun walk home, trying to hold one side up. So tomorrow we will have to go and buy a new wheel. Cant wait for a new wheel to be sent to us since I'm going to Byron Bay on Saturday and need the pram then.

United states of Tara!

I have been watching Unites states of Tara and it is so GOOD! Keeps me up very late at night and then I'm super tired in the morning, no good, but i cant stop watching it.. If you wanna have a great show to watch this is it!

Flowers!

I love having fresh flowers inside but with one person not working and the other one supporting all of us money is a bit tight and i feel like i can spend those flower money a bit better. I still like to have green inside tho, and i have been getting it on my walks around the area. For example some olive branches or figs. But now winter is here and there isn't much green around so this is what i did today.
Arron had a good laugh when he saw it, see how long it lasts, at least its something in my vase.

I used some paper that i had at home to cut out the leaves
in and then i attached them to the branches with bluetag.

Underbara Clara is a woman living in the north of Sweden with her husband, her son who is about the same age as Maja and her little dog. She runs a pretty famous blog and i think she is able to support herself and her family doing it. A lot of time she writes great articles about life and being a woman etc. and this one i like and agree with.
For those who dont read Swedish, the article is about how your baby is not born to be the centre of our life but more born to be part of our life and how it is important to keep a bit of yourself and not totally give yourself up to be a mom to maybe later let your child know that you gave everything up for them and that they should be grateful for it. Use the Google translator and read the whole article.

I think this is such an important point. Maja is the most amazing and cutest thing in the world and i could easily hold her all day and play with her and give her my full attention, but i try to stop myself from doing that. I think its good for her to grow up and to learn a bit of independence and to become comfortable with herself and to do things on her own. She is only small but it is important from the early go to show them the way to become happier and securer people when they grow up, and i think that by not giving my daughter the full attention all day, all the time, but to alway be there when she needs me, and let her play for herself and to make sure i am happy also, in the long run she will be a better person from it, i hope ; )

... is to go and look at Maja sleeping before i go to bed. She is so amazing!

Sheets!

On our holiday i did a lot of Op shopping and this bed sheet set was one of my great finds. I got a tablecloth with it in the same fabric too and all for $9. There was a lampshade with it, but i didn't get that one. I think it is brand new or very rarely use and i think someone have made it themselves. It works great in Maja's room.

Cute animal print

6 months!

Our beautiful daughter hit the six months mark yesterday and we forgot to celebrate. We will have to celebrate today, maybe some rice porridge with blueberries...

We are so lucky to have Maja in our life, she is the most amazing person ever! Yesterday Arron was saying, how did we manage to get such an happy baby, and its true, she is such an happy baby. Like this morning, i heard her wake up around seven but she was not crying, just making noises, so i left her in her bed and she was lying there happy for about an hour, then i heard some weird noises and went in to her room and she was lying happily in her bed, bumping her dummy to the side of the bed, giving me the biggest smile ever. Maja, i love you so much and thank you for being my daughter!

We tried on the romper this morning and i had to laugh, it looks so funny, and even more funny with Majas funny faces. Looks better when she is standing up so that it looks like a dress.

Header!

Another header done, i think i like this one better. What do you guys think? I would love to know, maybe you could leave a comment? I will keep on changing the header for a few days and then maybe we can decide on one that is the best. Maybe the old one is the best? hmmm, any ideas and tips are welcome.

I changed the header, its a work in progress tho. A bit too cute, and it needs some more colour. But it will do for now, its time for bed and i have run out of ideas.

I made pizzas for dinner tonight. Very yummy. I got a new pizza dough recipe from a friend and it worked great. Whats even better about it is that we have got a lot left, that stores in the fridge and then we can make some more in a few days. Tonight we watched The Adjustment Bureau, it was pretty good, but something annoying is happening with some movies that we watch. They stop about ten minutes from the ending and we have to finish watching it on the computer. Its very frustrating.

So, maybe not the best pictures ever but here is the pizzas.

Rompers!

Today i finished these rompers that i started last night. The elephant fabric is my favourite Japanese fabric and the blue is from a second hand men's linen shirt. Unfortunate i wasn't thinking while cutting out the fabric so on the back the elephants are up side down. I don't have a lot of the elephant fabric so i didn't want to cut a new piece so it had to stay. I'm very happy with these. The pattern that i got on eBay had the worst description and pictures so i had to figure most of the sewing out myself. I have made some mistakes along the way but the end result turned out ok.

Solids!

We started Maja on solids yesterday and she really likes it. So far she have only had rice porridge but today she will have sweet potato for lunch.

Holiday!

We are back.
Had the best time ever. Here comes a lot of photos but still not all of them, so hard to choose, they are all amazing but now im over doing collages, so this is it!

We did A LOT of beach walks, so beautiful.

This is the beach where we lived, we all loved it.

While the others were recording i took the
car to some other beaches.

We had fun in the house, Maja slept and played drums.

Did some more beach walks in all kinds of weather.

Maja entertained everyone and slept some more.

Saw some weird fishes and enjoyed the sun.

I know!

I did say that this blog was going on holiday and it is, just a little bit later than thought. Tomorrow we will go down to the beach house. Arron is down there today setting up. So the deal is, One of Arrons bands is recording a CD and they have rented this awesome beach house to do it in. Arron said, I'm not going without my family! So we are going too. First I was a bit negative about it. A house full of musicians, recording and then me and the girls = a lot of noise, late nights and not fun when having a child. But i have changed my mind, I cant wait to get out of the city. if i could choose were we were to live it would be anywhere but a big city. I want fresh air and nature. So this will be a good opportunity to get it.

If it gets too loud inside we just go outside and if they stay up to late and everything is bad we just go home, but i think it will be great.

We borrowed these headphones from a friend, how good is she, look how she rocks!

Tonight i had the hardest put down of Maja ever! usually she falls asleep while i am putting her to bed but today something was wrong, after an hour and a half of her crying and me trying to get her to sleep i gave in and took her up in my arms, sang to her and she fell asleep and now she is in her bed sleeping. Its amazing how much i love this little person, and i am so lucky that she loves me and finds me so funny and that i can give her comfort. But sometimes it can get quite frustrating.

This is my little break from designing a new header, a print and some labels. My Illustrator skills are a bit rusty tho, but it is fun.
