Here we go!

Its been very busy here lately and a lot of things have happened and the blog have been suffering from it. I haven't been sewing much but last night i made these two pants. The red and white is for a friends son. The mum saw this cute fabric with guitars on and wanted an outfit. The red and white stripey fabric is from an t-shirt that i also used to sew this bunny for Maja. Unfortunate i haven't have time to make them until last night and i only made the pants, the top will have to wait until i come back from Sweden. The boy is a little bit smaller than Maja so these will be great fro him to grow in.

The blue and white stripey ones are for Maja and i made them out of an old pair of Arrons jeans that are to small for him. She needs pants that can handle being dragged on the ground outside. The weather have been so nice and we are outside everyday and Maja crawls around everywhere so these pants will be good. I made them a bit bigger so that she will have something to grow in.

Yesterday was Fathers day here. Maja made a drawing for dad and she also helped me made this top for her. Being a true girl she picked all pink colours ; )
This top is super easy to do. I just cut out the letters in felt and then glued them on with fabric glue. I was suppose to sew them on to so that they will last a bit better but i was doing this in the morning and ran out of time. This is a very quick and easy way to have a bit of fun with your little ones tops.

Today me and Maja are flying to Sweden. We will be there for 5 weeks and i dont think i will do any blogging when im over there, but you never know. Have a great time all of you. xx Maja, Lena and Me

Flowers!

I love having fresh flowers inside but with one person not working and the other one supporting all of us money is a bit tight and i feel like i can spend those flower money a bit better. I still like to have green inside tho, and i have been getting it on my walks around the area. For example some olive branches or figs. But now winter is here and there isn't much green around so this is what i did today.
Arron had a good laugh when he saw it, see how long it lasts, at least its something in my vase.

I used some paper that i had at home to cut out the leaves
in and then i attached them to the branches with bluetag.

Quick fix!

I'm a bit of a fan of quick fixes! I am very impatient and want things done quick but i am getting better patience and i am getting better at letting things take its time.

In the last couple of posts it have been about quick fixes until i can get it how i really want it and here is another one of them.

The previous owners of this house had installed this weird alarm system and in our bedroom is the main control panel if you can call it that and its big and super ugly. We do not use the alarm and we would like to take it away but our landlord wants to keep it. Since Maja moved into her own room we haven't decided how we want to furnish our bedroom and we are still moving things around, so until we have decided for a more permanent way to have it i wanted to find something to cover this ugly alarm thing.

I had this old frame at home that i painted white ages ago and i also have been having this fabric in my stash for years and years so i just married the two and this is what we got. I think it will look better if the frame was black, but that will be another project. Now i don't know which way is supposed to be up or down on the fabric. I think the top picture is right.

Grass!

At Bunnings I also got plastic grass and i covered this lampshade in it.

I got the idea from when me and Arron was walking past a fence that had plastic grass wrapped around it like on a tennis racket handle. For ages i have been wanting to write a word in rope light on the wall but i haven't been able to find rope light so until i find it i decided to get the cheapest IKEA lamp and lampshade and cover it in grass for a bit of fun.

Pots!

On friday i went to Bunnings and i came home with a lovely plant but i didn't come home with a pot for it. I find it hard to find nice pots and if i find one i like they cost about a million dollares which is a little bit to much for me. So i decided to make one that i can use until i find one i like for the right price and this is the result. I'm not sure if i love it or not but i have decided to give my other plants the same pots so that they can all match. Its made of felt that i sewed together and it took about five seconds.

Look at the little one, she have figured out that if she bangs the maracas on the ground it will make a sound, so cute. Oh and if you look closely you can see her throwups on the floor next to her, the ones Lena didn't get to, yep super clean house!

Bird mobile!

Now its finally up. I got the pattern from Spool Sewing and thought it would be a cute thing for Maja's room. She haven't seen it yet, she is sleeping, Arron wanted to wake her up to test run it but i told him it cant wait. There will be plenty of times when she can look at it.

Clouds!

I made these clouds today. I copied this lady who makes beautiful ones. When i saw them i realized how easy it would be to make them. I have all this felt here at home, some i have died so i tried to use some of it for this project today. Arron didn't like it, or he liked it but didn't like that i copied someone else and i agree but sometimes things are really good and they don't need any changes, i am giving her all the credit for the great idea, she is using better colours than me i think. It was just a fun and quick project to make. Sometimes just want to make something that takes no time at all.
