Here we go!

Its been very busy here lately and a lot of things have happened and the blog have been suffering from it. I haven't been sewing much but last night i made these two pants. The red and white is for a friends son. The mum saw this cute fabric with guitars on and wanted an outfit. The red and white stripey fabric is from an t-shirt that i also used to sew this bunny for Maja. Unfortunate i haven't have time to make them until last night and i only made the pants, the top will have to wait until i come back from Sweden. The boy is a little bit smaller than Maja so these will be great fro him to grow in.

The blue and white stripey ones are for Maja and i made them out of an old pair of Arrons jeans that are to small for him. She needs pants that can handle being dragged on the ground outside. The weather have been so nice and we are outside everyday and Maja crawls around everywhere so these pants will be good. I made them a bit bigger so that she will have something to grow in.

Yesterday was Fathers day here. Maja made a drawing for dad and she also helped me made this top for her. Being a true girl she picked all pink colours ; )
This top is super easy to do. I just cut out the letters in felt and then glued them on with fabric glue. I was suppose to sew them on to so that they will last a bit better but i was doing this in the morning and ran out of time. This is a very quick and easy way to have a bit of fun with your little ones tops.

Weekend!

We had a very good weekend. Arron wasnt very busy at all with work so we spend a lot of time together. Friday night we had a pizza marathon and made 8 pizzas, very tasty. On saturday morning he took me out for a breakfast date at a new cafe. It was such a great place, they make their own coco their, from grinding the bean and all. Had hot chocolate and it was amazing. The food was french and very yummy too.

On sunday morning we went to camberwell market, i made some great finds, like this amazing bowl that i have been looking for for ages but they have alway been way to expensive but this time we found it cheap. Also found a tin to match our two that we already have in the same pattern at home, and then i found a really cute fabric for Maja.

Pram!

I love our pram. Its been really good and its fantastic to walk with but we have had a few problems with it, or maybe just two, and this is one. Yesterday morning i took this photo to send to the makers of the pram. What you are looking at is one of the wheels that have worn all the way into the 'fabric' part of the wheel. Not very happy about it since the pram is not very old and the two other wheels are fine. So i was gonna send the photos and try to get them to send me a new wheel.

The same day, in the afternoon, i was walking with a friend and all the sudden my wheel went flat! But the crazy thing is that at the same time that happened to my pram, on her pram, a wheel fell off! So there we were, both with very broken prams. It was not a very fun walk home, trying to hold one side up. So tomorrow we will have to go and buy a new wheel. Cant wait for a new wheel to be sent to us since I'm going to Byron Bay on Saturday and need the pram then.

Blog love!

Underbara Clara is a woman living in the north of Sweden with her husband, her son who is about the same age as Maja and her little dog. She runs a pretty famous blog and i think she is able to support herself and her family doing it. A lot of time she writes great articles about life and being a woman etc. and this one i like and agree with.
For those who dont read Swedish, the article is about how your baby is not born to be the centre of our life but more born to be part of our life and how it is important to keep a bit of yourself and not totally give yourself up to be a mom to maybe later let your child know that you gave everything up for them and that they should be grateful for it. Use the Google translator and read the whole article.

I think this is such an important point. Maja is the most amazing and cutest thing in the world and i could easily hold her all day and play with her and give her my full attention, but i try to stop myself from doing that. I think its good for her to grow up and to learn a bit of independence and to become comfortable with herself and to do things on her own. She is only small but it is important from the early go to show them the way to become happier and securer people when they grow up, and i think that by not giving my daughter the full attention all day, all the time, but to alway be there when she needs me, and let her play for herself and to make sure i am happy also, in the long run she will be a better person from it, i hope ; )

6 months!

Our beautiful daughter hit the six months mark yesterday and we forgot to celebrate. We will have to celebrate today, maybe some rice porridge with blueberries...

We are so lucky to have Maja in our life, she is the most amazing person ever! Yesterday Arron was saying, how did we manage to get such an happy baby, and its true, she is such an happy baby. Like this morning, i heard her wake up around seven but she was not crying, just making noises, so i left her in her bed and she was lying there happy for about an hour, then i heard some weird noises and went in to her room and she was lying happily in her bed, bumping her dummy to the side of the bed, giving me the biggest smile ever. Maja, i love you so much and thank you for being my daughter!

We tried on the romper this morning and i had to laugh, it looks so funny, and even more funny with Majas funny faces. Looks better when she is standing up so that it looks like a dress.

Doesn't she look really grownup here?

Pram bag!

I just finished this little pram bag for a friend. She saw the one i made for myself on the blog and wanted to have one too. They are so good. I have my lip balm, phone and keys in it, if you are leaving your pram outside you can just snap it off and take it with you. I still have to put the snap buttons on but Maja is having such a good sleep and i don't want to wake her up. While she have been sleeping i have managed to do the dishes and cook dinner plus making the bag, yay for long sleeps.

Seriously, is it possibly to be any cuter!!!!
Maja is outside sleeping (yes she is in there somewhere) and i am inside sewing, we both get what we want and need, teamwork.

Kisses!

My amazingly beautiful family.

Missing Sweden!

About to go to bed but had a quick look around on some swedish blogs and it really made me miss Sweden. Sweden is the best place ever to be in during summer. Since its dark and cold for the most of the year, when summer comes everyone goes crazy and tries to enjoy every minute of it to the full and its fantastic. I miss jumping off the cliffs into the ocean, i miss sailing, i miss bbq and warm nights and mostly i miss my family and friends.

Zoe!

This is Zoe, Zoe and Lena were best friends, they always wanted to be together. She was such an amazing dog.
The same day that we found out that i was pregnant Zoe died. She escaped from our backyard while we were at work, got hit by a car and left to die on the street. She managed to get to the front door where Arron found her when he got home from work. We met up at the hospital but she was so badly hurt that we had to put her down. It felt so shit, it was like for a new life to begin one had to end.

The big chock for us too with finding out that i was pregnant was that about a week before i had been told that i had cysts on my ovaries and had to get them out before we could get pregnant. All this together and plus me being really sick from my pregnancy made it very hard to enjoy being pregnant. On top of that at 11 weeks one of my cysts burst so i had to have an operation. Before going into theatre i was told that there is an 80% chance that i will miscarry during operation. But Maja survived. She was one stubborn little girl who was determined to be part of our family and even tho we are missing Zoe we are so happy to have Maja!

Friends!

I was looking through our photos and found this with Linda and Max and Rebecka and Moa, my swedish friends here in Australia with their kids. So funny how we all named our kids with names starting on M.
Beautiful mums and beautiful babies, so lucky to have them as friends here and Rebecka have helped me so much with Maja giving me support and small little tips here and there on what to do and what not to do. Im lucky to have to friends who have gone through it all and that are happy to answer any questions i have.

Rebecka with Moa

Linda and her husband have bought a house just 10 min walking away from us so they are very close. Rebcka, Andy and Moa lives a little bit further away, about 15 min driving but its very easy to get there. Its lovely to have friends close buy.

Another amazing friend is Jacinda who lives just a few houses away from us. We have known each other for about nine years now and im so lucky to have her as a friend. She is such a driven person, have her own dance company. But she does so much more, always busy with new projects, very inspiring.
Beautiful Jacinda with Maja

Maja is sleeping so its time for me to get ready so that we can go on our walk, Lena is giving me the looks.

I love my life!

I really do, i have the best life, the best husband, the best daughter, the best dog, the best family and the best friends. So lucky.

Sunday was a very quiet day here. Me and Arron both felt a bit sick so we just took it easy. In the evening we went for dinner at friends of Arrons place. They have twin boys that just over 15 months. They have just finished renovating their house and it is AMAZING! I forgot camera tho.

Sourdough starter

Yesterday i was going to finish my sourdough bread that i have been "brewing" but i realized i didnt have enough rye flour so i went to 4 shops to get some, noone had it. Searched on internet and found a place across the city who stocks it so we went for a little trip. Since we went across city we thought that we might as well go to IKEA. Last time i went to IKEA i found this amazing vase in the 'as is' corner for only $2. There is nothing wrong with it, it was an display item. The plants i found out on my walks and now i have this lovely arrangement at home for super cheap, yay.

Plant arrangement in vase from IKEA
Today i drove Arron to work and then me, Maja and Lena went to the beach, it was so amazing. Forgot the camera, again. Note to self to take it with me all the time.

Oops, i have to run to my first mothers group meeting. Write more later.

Maja och Lena!

When i was pregnant everyone was so worried about how Lena would go with the baby. Even i got a bit worried. Lena is an amazing dog, so clever. We got her from a shelter when she was about 10 weeks. She is a bigger dog and she has so much energy and she is a bit crazy, personality plus!
Lena have been amazing with Maja, she really wants to lick her face and now she knows she is not allowed to, but she sneaks a lick in every now and then when she thinks we are not looking. Sometimes she sniffs Maja and she loves to sniff her nappies. But apart from that she couldn't care less. We still give her heaps of attention, go out for long walks and play so she is a very happy dog. I think that when Maja gets older that they are going to be best friends.

Best friend, YES!

The only thing that have been bad about it is all the hair Lena is losing right now. Maja have probably swallowed a whole dog of dog hair.
