Look at this, brrr. I need to go food shopping for dinner food but who wants to go out in this weather?

So this is the fabric for my next sewing project. I'm not gonna be able to show you the finished product for a while because this garment is for a very special person who i think is checking this blog every now and then and i don't want to ruin the surprise.

Intuition!

Lately i have been noticing that i don't listen to my intuition enough. So many times i have thought something och felt that something is gonna happen, don't listen to it and then it happens. Like yesterday, i needed to get a urine sample from Maja and to do that i had to put on a bag on her inside the nappy. While i was getting ready i was thinking that maybe she will poo and i should wait, but then i thought again that no, she pooed yesterday and it was a big one and she poos every second day, so, i put on the bag and the nappy, got her clothes on and put on in her bouncer and then of course she poos. Quickly i take her up and take of her nappy, poo all over the bag, no fun. But at least she had already managed to wee so we got some for her sample. Lesson learned, i need to start listen to my intuition a bit more.

This morning we went for a walk to hand in the wee sample to the doctor. Its a beautiful autumn day here and perfect walking weather.

Ok, now its time for dishes, scones and some sewing. Don't know if i will do a top matching the pants, don't have a pattern for that tho so i will have to make that first, or a dress.

I had planned to go to a training class today but I'm still very sore in my back so i will take it easy at home instead.

Update; Its poring down outside now, so lucky that we got a beautiful walk in the sun and now its perfect for inside sewing and scones and definitely heater on!

Cutest pants ever!!!!

So i just finished these pants, how cute are they! I got the pattern from Dans La Lune but i changed it a bit, and yes, this was another PDF pattern but firstly it was so much smaller than the other one so much less paper to print out, and secondly so much better done with no cutting needed before sticky taping it together.
Unfortunately Maja is sleeping so i cant try them on. I was trying to come up with reasons to wake her up but in the end i realized that i just have to wait.
I will also make a jumper in the same fabrics, cant wait.

Update;
Maja woke up and played model. They are a bit big but she will grow into them in no time.

That's it for me for sewing today, i think. I am a bit tired and just feel like taking it easy for the rest of the night. Cinnia is coming over for dinner and i don't know what to cook, hmm, chicken something.

KCWC!

So the blog is finally working. Last night and up until now i couldn't put up any posts.

Yesterday was a busy day. I had mothers group which was fun. At home i didn't get to do a lot of sewing for my first day of KCWC, i was mostly cutting out patterns and washing fabrics, i should have prepared that so it was all ready to go. Since i did the boring stuff yesterday i decide to sew some small toys for Maja last night so at least it would feel like i did something productive. Maja is loving both of them.

cut them all and the sticky tape them together,
then i had to trace and the finally cut out the pattern.

Little animal for Maja.

Today i was supposed to go down to Torquay to visit my friend Tina and her boys but Maja is sick and we had to go to the doctor, she is fine tho. So this morning instead i went to spotlight. So dangerous that place, i could spend so much money on fabrics. I have also cut out another pattern and washed some more fabrics, they just need to dry now and then i can cut them and then FINALLY i can start sewing, i prob wont get a lot of garments ready this week due to my lack of preparing.

Mothers day!

yesterday it was mothers day here in Australia and my first one. I got really spoilt all day and i also got an gift card to my favourite store where i bought an AMAZING winter coat.

Maja absolutely loves her teddy bear, his name is Boris.

Today is the first day of kids clothes week challenge where you are sewing kids clothes for an hour a day. Typically this week i have almost every day booked up so i don't know how i will have time to do some sewing but i will try. I think i will start with a dress today.

The lilies died so i took in some olives. I love them, the leaves are so beautiful and look at those beautiful coloured olives, shame you cant eat them off the tree.

The sleeping bag is finally done and it fits perfect, or its a bit big but she will grow into that in a sec. Its really, really cold here now. When i woke up this morning it was 14 C in the house, bbrrrrr.

The osteopath was great, he is so good. I will have to go back a few times tho, he also gave me exercises to do, need to strengthen my abdominal muscles.

Tonight me and cinnia will do a healthy dinner and movie, no pizza, fries and ice cream, probably bean salad and fish, so good.

We also went to IKEA today, now i have all the frames i need to finish off the picture wall. We also got a rug for the hall and in the 'as is' corner we found another kitchen chair, same as we already have  but super cheap. Nothing wrong with it, just an old display.

Sleepbag!

So i finished all the sewing on the sleepbag and all that was left was to put the snap buttons in place but since i used two pieces of fabric with wadding in between to make it warmer it is now too thick to put the snap buttons on so i will have to come up with something else to close it up, darn!

Right now I'm cooking bolognese and have muesli in the owen and trying to get Maja to sleep, multitasking, yay. Cant wait to eat my bolognese, so long since we had it.
Tomorrow i have a osteopath appointment and i really need it, my back and shoulders are so sore. This guy I'm going to is really good so I'm sure i will feel much better soon. Especially my shoulders get sore from walking with the pram, today i went for two very long walks and i really feel it now.

So Maja is sleeping now and my bolognese is ready so its time for dinner.

Update; forgot the muesli and now its burnt. Not very good at multitasking.

My darling!

My little darling slept all night through. I was worried since she slept so much during the day but when i put her down at nine she fell a sleep straight away and didn't wake up until seven. Now she is asleep again and i have had my breakfast and now its time to finish the sleeping bag.

Today i had planned to go into the city to visit my friends at my old work but i actually just feel like being home again. I also have to make muesli.

I have started to put up some frames on the walls around the house. Here is some, the photos is from our camping trip last year. They were taken with the Diana camera.

Sleep!

Today my little one have been sleeping so much. This is her sleeping in her bouncer while I'm sewing. If she hasn't been sleeping she has been crying, don't know why, but she is not happy today.

I was hoping to finish her sleeping bag today but i think it will have to wait to tomorrow, now i have to cook dinner. Anyway, i hope she sleeps through the night now when she have slept almost all day.

TV!

I watch a lot of TV and movies. Since I'm home alone, most of my meals is in front of the TV, with a movie on or with a book. I also like to have the TV on as back round noise. Lately i have been feeling that i would like to get rid of the TV or at least i will limit the time i have it on. I really don't watch it that much but its on a lot. Like last night i was in front of the TV doing this LOVE word while Arron cooked amazing mushroom risotto for dinner. I used aluminium wire and then some wool. This was a practise round, i want to do one with Maja's name. I thought it was cute, Arron thought it was a bit bogan, i agree with him a little bit.

So i didn't really watch TV but it was on. Anyway, well see how i go, to begin with i will try to be more aware of how much i have it on every day. I suppose that if i read a book i don't need it on. And i can have music on as back round noise instead. I wish i could have swedish radio on but that is a bit hard.

Yesterday i woke up with a full on head ace and it stayed with me all day, not fun. Its a bit better today but it is lingering. I drove Arron to work and then me and the girls went to the beach. After that we went to spotlight, they had a sale on and i wanted to get some winter curtains. Since they only are using single glass here in their windows and it is getting really cold here during winter, most people have long thick curtains to try to keep the cold out a bit. It took me ages to find some that i liked and then when i went to pay for them i found out that they were the only brand that was NOT on sale, of course. I couldn't be bothered anymore, Maja was starting to whine and Lena was out in the car, so no curtains for us.
We also had mothers group yesterday. Talked about starting with solid food. In a way i cant wait to start but in a way i quit like just having to breast feed, its easier.

Maja, my amazing girl, is sleeping now so i will try to do some sewing.

Weekend!

Oh what a weekend i had.

First friday night pizza and bad movie with Jacinda. Then saturday night birthday dinner for Linda with Rebecka and great food, wine and the best company. Sunday with my amazing Arron, then with some friends and then Mexican take away food. Now its monday and Arron is back at work and me, hmm i will do some cleaning, again, and then try to do some sewing. I have a playgroup to go to today. Maja is a bit to little for these things, its more for me, to meet other mums etc. Its getting colder here now so i really need to finish her sleeping bag so that is a priority today. But also to play with Maja, eat scones and read some. I hope you all had a great weekend.
